Urlingford Active Retirement Club

Who are we?
A group of women and men, we are a local branch of a nationwide organisation, Active Retirement, Ireland (members).

When do we meet?
We meet every Thursday in the Mill Family Resource Centre, Main Street, Urlingford, Co. Kilkenny from 2pm until 4.30pm.

What do we do?
We engage in various activities from artwork, bowls, cardmaking, aromatherapy, skincare, knitting, glass painting & Tai Chi to name a few.

Above all we chat and have a good time together.

Outings
We also go on regular outings, sometimes organised at National or Regional level for example, to the Gowran Races, trip to the Zoo or to a Craft Fair.

Sometimes outings are organised by other branches, for example, there are regular Sunday Lunch outings followed by ballroom dancing in various places.
Outings are also organised by the group, for example, bowling in Kilkenny, a trip to Wexford or Waterford to visit the John F. Kennedy Park or Waterford Glass.

Who can join?
Anyone in the Urlingford and Gortnahoe general area.  We have a broad range currently from 40 - 80 yrs old.
